Gabriel Dresdale is a genre-blending, spiritually conscious Musician, Multi-Instrumentalist, Singer-Songwriter, Composer and Music Educator. He was born and raised in Woodstock, NY, where he now lives with his wife, Brazilian singer-songwriter Mariana Barcellos Song, and their daughter Michaela Jasmin.
Gabriel’s main instrument is Cello, which he began playing at the age of 5. He plays a variety of styles including classical, jazz, world, free improvisation, folk and rock. He also plays Guitar and Piano, as well as the Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass Recorders.
Gabriel teaches music lessons privately from his home and on zoom. He writes for and performs with the band Levanta, with his wife under the name Bliss, as a solo artist, and with the string trio Hudson Pro Musica. He is available for hire to play at weddings, memorials, special events and recording sessions. His dream is to be a presence of peace on the planet, sharing stories of love and self-discovery through his songs…

Gabriel Dresdale offers curated live music experiences for weddings, retreats, festivals, ceremonies, and private events throughout the Hudson Valley, Catskills, Berkshires, and select locations across New York and the Northeast. As a cellist, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, he works as both a performer and music director, shaping the sound of an event and assembling the right musical atmosphere for each moment.
Rather than a fixed format, each event is approached as a collaboration. Gabriel curates the music based on the space, the intention of the gathering, and the energy of the occasion.
